The Southern Province is a small geographic area that is located at the Southern corner of the island. The coastline that continuously runs along the Southern edge of the region features many sun kissed beaches that draw in travellers from around the world. A little into the interior of the province, and you will find that the topography changes drastically with the appearance of foot hills, waterways, and rainforests. The Southern Province is also historically significant due to the prominence assigned to it during the colonial rule, and is considered to be strong in its influence to arts and culture.
